I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel 1936. The location is fabulous, just steps away from the MTR station, and the safety of the area made me feel secure. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, with good water pressure in the shower.

If you're a fan of dim sum, you can't miss out on the Home Made Dim Sum just 0.1 km away! a shoutout to Kam Wah Cafe—try their pineapple buns! The hotel has a stellar location next to the MTR, and a big plus is the spacious rooms in the hustle of Hong Kong. The staff were quite helpful too when I asked about getting around.
Getting to the hotel from the airport can be a hassle. those MTR stairs aren't luggage-friendly! Plus, no drinking water or breakfast in the room was a bit of a bummer. And pro tip for light sleepers, you might hear the city buzz outside, minimal but noticeable.

The room was spacious, providing ample shelving for belongings.
Getting to the hotel was a major hassle. The nearest MTR exit had stairs, which made lugging my luggage difficult. The elevator system was complicated, leaving me frustrated every time I needed to move between floors. The lack of drinking water in the room and breakfast options was disappointing considering the steep price we paid.

The Classic Double Room was surprisingly cozy and well-designed, perfect for winding down after a long day. The room's cleanliness and modern aesthetic made the stay enjoyable.
Location poses a challenge. There's no escalator from the station, meaning lugging your bags up two flights of stairs is mandatory. The front features barricades that prevent taxis from stopping directly at the entrance, forcing you to walk quite a distance to the pickup area. Rooms are compact, especially the Grand Classic Twin Room, only fitting one large suitcase, and there's a limited selection of TV channels. Daily tea bag replenishment is lacking, and no bottled water is provided unless requested. Air conditioning can be noisy, with odd water sounds, which might bother light sleepers.

I stayed in a Classic Twin Room for 4 nights as a solo traveler. The room was spacious and had plenty of shelves for my stuff. Water pressure in the shower was top-notch, and having the MTR station just down the street made it super easy to get around. I did notice some minor stains on the carpet and bed linens, but it didn't bother me that much. it was comfy enough for my stay.
